"Religion" is not the topic here. Is it OK to misinterpret the question before answering? Is that a scientific method or a religious one?

Well said! However, I doubt that the zealots on either side will listen. Extremists on both sides have created a "holy war" of sorts with their emotional arguments and examples of extremism from the other side.

No Jack - that is where a German post office clerk develops the theory of relativity. To limit yourself to only observable phenomena and not allow yourself to think out of the box based on those phenomena rather than limited by them puts your scientific abilities in a box.

Hugh - Why do you assume there has to be a "winner"? There are only theories that can be supported and theories that can not yet be supported, and even then it is not conclusive.

Jack - If you are a scientist and truly objective you cannot dismiss the existence of God without evidence. Some submit the organization, order, and mathematical basis of the universe as evidence, but you have not been able to show that order can be created from chaos to disprove this theory.

Jack - religion and God are not the same and are not interchangeable. To be truly objective and scientific, you cannot discount the existence of a God without evidence. Otherwise, your version of science, at least on this topic, is a religion.

What evidence would you expect to find if a consciousness existing in all dimensions created the universe from a singularity? If you have no answer (and no evidence) then your version of science is merely a godless subjective religion.

Just because something cannot be proved does not mean it doesn't exist. Many scientific discoveries are relatively recent but they still existed prior to their discovery.
